Service Academy Nominations

Instructions

The honor of attending a Service Academy comes with the obligation and commitment to serve in the military for a minimum of five years upon graduation.

Members of Congress may nominate candidates for appointment to four of the five U.S. service academies, including the U.S. Military Academy, the U.S. Naval Academy, the U.S. Air Force Academy, and the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy. The U.S. Coast Guard Academy does not require a congressional nomination for appointment. Congressman Scalise may nominate up to ten individuals for each vacant academy slot allotted to our district.

For more information, complete the online request form below to request a Nomination Application with Congressman Scalise’s office or contact the Academy Coordinator at 985-893-9064.

Also, please review the page of Frequently Asked Questions for those seeking a Service Academy Nomination.
