One Big Beautiful Bill Delivers a Huge Win for Hardworking Americans

Over the last four years, I have heard from countless families and small businesses across Louisiana that have been struggling to make ends meet because of record inflation caused by the out-of-control government spending and radical regulations under President Joe Biden. That’s why last fall Louisiana overwhelmingly joined in the mandate that put President Donald Trump back in the White House and gave Republicans majorities in the House and Senate to restore American greatness and put our country back on track.

To deliver on this mandate, I have been working with my colleagues in Congress to implement President Trump’s America First agenda and get the One Big Beautiful Bill signed into law. This historic legislation delivers on the promises we made to get our economy back on track, create good jobs, secure our border, produce more American energy, make tax cuts permanent, and lower inflation for hard-working families.

Everyone in Louisiana has a lot to gain from this bill because it prevents the largest tax increase in our nation’s history from crushing Louisiana families so they can keep more of their hard-earned money. I proudly voted for this bill, and yesterday, President Trump signed it into law to begin another golden age of American recovery.

I proudly joined President Trump as he signed the One Big Beautiful Bill into law on America's birthday, when we celebrate the independence of our nation.

We are going to see economic growth like we've never seen before.

Louisiana Has a Lot to Gain

The One Big Beautiful Bill delivers a huge win for Louisiana families and small businesses by making good on the promises we made to get our economy back on track, create good jobs, secure our border, produce more American energy, make tax cuts permanent, and lower inflation.

Also, I was able to include in this bill my language to increase the revenue sharing Louisiana receives from energy exploration and production off our coast, which will result in new funding - to the tune of hundreds of millions of dollars - for flood control, hurricane protection, and coastal restoration projects that are vital to Louisiana’s future. This crucial bill also requires annual lease sales in the Gulf of America which will strengthen our national security, lower energy prices, create predictability in our energy and maritime industries and support thousands of good paying jobs in Louisiana.

Hardworking Americans are sick and tired of high inflation, of high gas prices, and of not being able to fill up their grocery cart because of the spending in Washington at their expense. We're a country that believes our brightest days are ahead, and they elected Republicans to deliver on those brighter days.

The One Big Beautiful bill becoming law means we're finally going to turn that around and deliver an America First agenda that focuses on families in America.

It is the golden age of America again.
